Around the world in 80 minutes

Around the world in 80 minutes

We’re currently planning an event to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week on Sunday 25 March and calling it “Around the World in 80 Minutes”.

It will be a series of free activities, each representing a different country or culture, which you can join in on. Participants will be issued a passport upon entry to the Kensington Neighbourhood House which will be stamped as they complete each activity. If you leave with a full passport we’ll give you a souvenir from the Neighbourhood House.

Last year 53% of our students and house users were born outside Australia and represented 59 different countries. The event will be an opportunity to showcase the many talented people that attend the House and live in our community.

Activities will include food, gardening, music and the arts and are suitable for the whole family.

This event is kindly being supported by the City of Melbourne.
