Plastic lids deposited at KNH by community members are regulalry collected by the Ecological Justice Hub in Brunswick for recycling.
This workshop is a chance to find out exactly what happens to those lids. In this hands-on 2 hour workshop, you will learn:
- How to sort and clean plastic milk bottle lids ready for recycling (sounds boring but it's an essential first step!)
- How to shred the cleaned and sorted plastic lids ready for melting.
- How community action can avoid plastics getting into the environment and about the various different types of plastic.
- How different types of products can be made from your plastic lids - small plant pots, plastic sheets and even carabiners.
By collecting, cleaning and sorting your plastic lids for the Ecological Justice Hub in Brunswick you are making a real contribution to environmental waste.
