Time & Location

15 Feb 2026, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Assemble, 19 Thompson St, Kensington VIC 3031, Australia

About the event

Stacked! is a special evening of sharing and eating together with the residents of Assemble.

The afternoon begins with a hands-on sambusa making workshop, followed by a communal dinner where the food we make together becomes part of the feast. Whether you’re new to the neighbourhood or have lived locally for years, this is a chance to meet, cook, eat and connect.

What’s happening

Assemble residents are participating in a cooking workshop with Kensington local Hamida where they will learn how to make sambusas together. The sambusas prepared will be shared at dinner in the evening.

6:30pm | Community dinner

A shared dinner with Assemble residents and Kensington locals, featuring sambusas from the cooking workshop and a generous meal cooked by a local community cook and supported by Assemble resident volunteers.
