About the event
No alcohol involved! Join Lily O'Connell once a month for an afternoon of art-making. Each session will focus on a particular topic or medium. Students engaging in weekly art classes at KNH are also welcome to bring along any works in progress.
Suitable for anyone over 10 years.

17th March
Sketching and drawing
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced artists looking to elevate their drawing practice. Focus on learning how to translate any image of your choosing on paper in either charcoal or graphite. There will be lots of images and still life options to draw if you don’t have an image you wish to draw. You’ll learn how to use these materials, perspective, use of line weight and shading. All materials will be provided and students are welcome to bring works in progress.
21st April
Acrylic Painting
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced artists looking to elevate their acrylic painting practice. Individuals can choose to experiment with a range of fun painting techniques or complete a painting of their choosing. You’ll be taught how to mix colours and different painting techniques. All materials will be provided and students are welcome to bring works in progress.

Acrylic Painting on clothing/ fabric
Show off your creative style by wearing it! Bring in any piece of clothing or fabric you wish to paint on. Students are encouraged to bring a reference image if they have a particular idea in mind. No other materials or experience required. Learn how to sketch a design on fabric, paint on fabric and set the paint so your unique piece will last after many washes. BYO clothing, fabric, tote bags, even shoes! All other materials provided and no experience required.

Polymer Clay
Create your own colourful polymer clay keychain or jewellery. Learn how to bring your design to life using simple sculpting techniques, fun ways to mix colours and heat setting your piece so it lasts for years to come. No experience necessary, all materials are provided. If you have a particular idea in mind you can bring a reference image.
