Take pause to immerse yourself in the practice of Suminagashi, 墨流し or “floating ink”.

Suminagashi is the process of marbling plain paper with water and ink to transform it into something vibrant and colourful. It originated in Japan as early as the 12th century. In this workshop you will practice this technique of floating ink on water to create patterns. It is very relaxing and no experience is necessary. Come and make wrapping paper, cards, or artwork.

You will walk away with a beautiful series of unique prints, as well as a range of skills and techniques so that you can continue this practice at home.
